Fortnite season 7 MAP CHANGES: Happy Hamlet, Frosty Flights, Polar Peak, snow map update

is launching today on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, PCs and Macs and brings with it a festive snow map.

The Fortnite season 7 map includes three brand new POIs – Happy Hamlet, Frosty Flights and Polar Peak.

Other new unnamed locations have also appeared on the Battle Royale map for Fortnite season 7 as well as icy surfaces found in snowy areas.

Battle Royale players will slide when they move on certain frozen surfaces.

Another new addition to the Fortnite season 7 map is ziplines which can be found around the iceberg and near expedition outposts.

Fortnite players will be able to latch on and zip from one end to the other.

While on a zipline Fortnite players will be able to aim, fire and use any item.

Describing what’s in store for Fortnite fans with season 7, Epic Games said: “Season 7 arrives as the Iceberg collides with the island.

“Discover new areas such as Frosty Flights, Polar Peak, and more!

“Uncover what’s in the new Battle Pass, rule the skies with the new X-4 Stormwing plane, and change the style of some of your favorite weapons and items with Wraps in Battle Royale.

“Explore Fortnite Creative, a new experience where you can create, play, and save anything you can imagine on private islands!

“In Save the World, the Stand and Fight campaign comes to an exciting conclusion as Canny Valley Act 3 is released!”

The Fortnite season 7 trailer has given more insight into how the map changes will affect gameplay.

The Fortnite season 7 trailer shows players being able to throw hockey pucks onto icy surfaces.

These pucks then slide about, meaning Fortnite season 7 players will be able to have a festive game of ice hockey.

Other changes are in snowy areas trees are decorated like Christmas trees – which might make players loathed to chop it down for wood. They look so nice!

Elsewhere, the Happy Hamlets new POI is showcased with buildings in the area looking like festive, Christmas grottos.
