Fans are expecting some major map tweaks to be revealed for when Fortnite Season 5 begins.
The game’s next Battle Pass isn’t arriving until later this month but it already looks like we’re some changes to the map.
While each season controls what new cosmetics can be earned from the battle pass, Epic Games also use it as a time to make big tweaks to the map.
Season 4 saw a big rocket launch that happened live in-game, which saw parts of the map hit with lasers.
And while no damage was found at these locations, a crack in the sky was soon spotted.
This rift has been getting bigger and has created a lot of online chatter concerning what it might be.
Players have also been using social media to confirm all the places that they have seen new rifts opening up, or expanding across the map.
The main rift in the sky has slowly expanded since the rocket launch over the weekend, with other locations also affected.
No one knows quite what it means, but it does seem to have something to do with the Season 5 launch.
This has been set for later in July and will likely include some answers.
Until then, players are enjoying working out what is going on right now in the game.
Smaller rifts have also been spotted around the map and are apparently affecting the game.
There’s one that has appeared outside the Lonely Lodge.
Other landmarks such as the Motel sign have gone missing, while new mini rifts look to be appearing daily.
There are reports and rumours that the crack in the sky might have something to do with time travel, which could also be part of the Season 5 theme.
Could these mini rifts be places where we will see new buildings that are part of the time travel theme?
It will be worth keeping an eye on the sky over the next few days to see what happens next.
fans may have also gotten their first look at the final challenge list for Fortnite Season 4.
Data miners believe they have found the Week 10 list of tasks, which will go live later this week.
Like in past weeks, fans will have the choice of seven challenges to complete, all of which will remain available until Season 5 starts.
You can find the full list of new Week 5 challenges below:
- Search Chests in Junk Junction (0/7)
- Deal damage to opponents’ structures (0/5000)
- Search a Chest, Ammo Box and Supply Drop in a single match (0/3)
- Skydive through floating rings (0/20)
- Search between movie titles (HARD)(0/1)
- Eliminate opponents (HARD)(0/10)
- Eliminate opponents in Fatal Fields (HARD)(0/3)
It should be noted that Epic Games have started switching out and changing challenges before they go live.
So it’s fair to say that the current list will likely see a few tweaks before Thursday, July 5.
