Footie5 has gone Stateside and there’s up to £25,000 to play for this summer

Throughout the summer, there’s plenty of football action to keep you going until the Premier League returns and Footie5 continues with the chance to win big money.

England are in action in the Nations League, while England’s Lionesses and Scotland will star in the Women’s World Cup in June. Alongside that, there’ll be loads of familiar faces the African Cup Of Nations, while over in the United States the Major League Soccer league is in full swing.

Footie5 is heading to the USA for the summer, and we’re asking you to predict the scores in five games every week for the chance to win £25,000. Stars like Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Bradley Wright-Phillips can be followed on the live on Sky Sports.

As usual, we want to help you with your predictions, so we’ve shared a little insight from our MLS expert at The Pools. Every week, we’ll have tips on each fixture so you can get the edge on the competition in the quest to win that £25,000 jackpot.

Our expert’s MLS predictions

Philadelphia Union 2-1 Seattle Sounders

Philadelphia are flying high in the Eastern Conference and have won their last 5 at home (scoring 14 and conceding just 2). Seattle don’t lose many, but could struggle here, facing a quick turnaround from a mid-week home fixture and this mammoth road trip of over 2800 Miles

Look out for: The Talen Energy Stadium – one of the most iconic grounds in the MLS that includes a bridge spanning the Delaware River.

Minnesota United 2-0 Columbus Crew

Minnesota need to start turning home draws into wins if they are secure their first ever MLS Play-off berth. Columbus don’t travel well and will need to rely on new Man City recruit, goalkeeper Zack Steffen to get a result here.

Look out for: Federico Higuain, Gonzalo’s older and balder brother, pulling the strings for Columbus.

Sporting KC 3 – 1 Vancouver Whitecaps

Sporting KC won the Western Conference last season but have been slow out of the traps this time around. Vancouver have recovered from a dreadful start to the season, but can’t be trusted on the road. Back Kansas to blow Vancouver away here.

Look out for: ex- Dundee Utd and Derby wide man Johnny Russell who has found a new lease of life since moving to Sporting KC.

Houston Dynamo 2-2 DC United

Houston and DC United have made strong starts to the season and both look nailed on to be involved in the post season play offs. Houston are strong at home, but DC United, inspired by Wayne Rooney can claim a point on the road.

Look out for: pint sized Argentinian Luciano Acosta of DC United who is reportedly attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

FC Dallas 1-1 LAFC

LAFC have blazed a trail in the Western Conference and are on track re-write the MLS record books (including most goals, most points & best goal difference). Dubbed as the “Man City of MLS” they face a tricky looking trip to Dallas, who are traditionally strong at home and can claim a point here.
