As the New Year begins, many of us usually would join a gym in attempt to get rid of that Christmas bloat.
But not to worry because we’ve made a list of our five favourite Scottish fitness gurus who can still help you achieve your goals all from the comfort of your own home.
During the first national lockdown, Kenny Walker was branded the ‘Scottish Joe Wicks’ for helping keep us fit with his virtual fitness classes.
Kenny has been working as a personal trainer for over six years but despite the gyms closing due to the coronavirus pandemic this hasn’t stopped the 30-year-old from helping people to keep fit at home.
Kenny said: “When lockdown happened things started to feel surreal and I knew it would be a while before I could return to my passion of delivering group exercise classes.
“I’d had a few people message to ask if I would be delivering virtual classes, but never did I think it would become what it is to date! At the beginning of lockdown I thought I’ll do the virtual classes for a few weeks, then I’ll be back to work.
“It’ll keep my fitness levels up to scratch. I had no idea how long it would last.”
Kenny was due to open his own gym GX Fitness in Glasgow this month but tighter restrictions means it’s back to online classes for now but as soon as things get back to normal, we can’t wait to see his new fitness pad!
