Over 100 professional anglers are being added to Fishing Sim World, as part of a free update that will greatly expand the career mode and include appearances from the likes of Scott Martin, Ali Hamidi, John Crews, Bryan Thrift, Dave Levy, and Ian Russell.

The Pro Tour update will also add a host of new fish to catch, including barbel, channel catfish, and brown and rainbow trout.

Plus, there’s new officially licensed equipment and sponsor brands, including Evinrude, Korda, 13 Fishing, Booyah, and RidgeMonkey.

Also being added are three new US lake venues – Lake Guntersville, Lake Travis, and Lake Miller – and new community, weekly, and in-game mastery challenges that can unlock exclusive new items.

There’s also a new custom multiplayer mode where you can set everything from the number of rounds and catch species to the weather conditions and time of day.

‘I’m honoured to be part of Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour. This is such a passionate project, with an incredible level of detail. It’s a great way to introduce more people to the world of bass fishing’, says Scott Martin.

Fishing Sim World is already available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with the free Pro Tour update due out on 18 July.
