First Dates' Fred Sirieix joins TV star Denise Van Outen at Scots restaurant

First Dates maitre d’ Fred Sirieix joined musical star and presenter Denise Van Outen for a meal to remember at a Scots restaurant.

Fred, who normally encourages two strangers to dine together, and Denise admitted they loved their visit to the much loved Eusebi Deli in Glasgow’s West End.

The pair recorded what they had to eat as well on their Instagram pages and Fred said :What delicious food and AMAZING hospitality. Grazie xxx”

Denise Van Outen also said of her main course: “I’m so excited. I’m at Eusebi in Glasgow with all the team here. Can’t wait to have some lovely Italian food.”

After enjoying some vegetables fried in batter and a dish featuring king prawns, a thrilled Denise could be heard saying on video: “This is the most amazing Italian food.”

The two were spotted in Glasgow alongside Paddy McGuinness and confirmed they’d been filming at BBC Scotland.

Denise said later: “Glasgow you’ve been fabulous! Filming @bbcscotland with Paddy McGuinnes and Fred Sirieix followed by the most incredible Italian food at Eusebi Deli. This restaurant is superb.”

We wrote recently how Janey Godley surprised Eusebi deli owner Giovanna with a flash mob choir to thank her for the care she gave her after she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Nigella Lawson also praised the restaurant which started life in Glasgow’s east end before relocating to Gibson Street in a recent show.
