THE father of the film worker shot dead by Alec Baldwin told yesterday how the tragedy has destroyed “the perfect family”.
Sixteen years ago, the ex-nuclear sub captain walked her down the aisle for her wedding to Matthew, dad to their young son.
Tearful Anatoly told The Sun on Sunday: “It was such a happy day.
“Our family had become so close to Matt and it was wonderful to see them so happy.
“But now everything is gone.
“Our lives are empty and ruined by sorrow.
“It’s terrible because we were so proud of them and loved seeing how happy they were.”
Anatoly got special permission to fly from Ukraine to the US for the funeral after his passport expired.
He has previously told how Halyna’s son Andros, nine, could not speak for two days after being told of his 42-year-old mother’s death on the set of western Rust in New Mexico.
Inquiries are focusing on the role played by rookie armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 24, who is feared to have mixed up weapons for scenes.
