Farrah Abraham mistakenly calls 9/11 7-Eleven in clip panned by social media users for its carefree tone
Farrah Abraham was panned Wednesday after a social media post commemorating 9/11 was ripped as tone deaf.
The 28-year-old reality star shot the video at the One World Trade Center in New York City alongside her 10-year-old daughter Sophia, and at one point mixed up the name of the disaster with the convenience store 7-Eleven.
‘Okay, so we wanted to do, since it’s gonna be September 11, in honor of the Freedom Towers, and observatory deck and everything, of 7-Eleven, we are going to do this,’ she said. ‘Wow, look at this guys.’

As the mother and daughter stood outside the Freedom Tower, the MTV reality star reminisced about the fateful day, and how she approached it from a parenting perspective.
‘This is gorgeous, beautiful, and in memory of a lot of loved ones, a lot of others lost,’ she said. ‘I remember being in fifth grade when September 11 attacks happened – Sophia was not born yet – so I think it’s really important that Sophia learns about it, and here we go.’
Farrah, who’s also been seen on Ex on the Beach, Celebrity Big Brother and Couples Therapy, noted, ‘It’s pretty gorgeous here, it’s such a great day … the buildings are so beautiful.’
The TV personality also offered her opinion on the massive memorial in the wake of the disaster.

The Council Bluffs, Iowa native was jabbed in the comment section of the post as some implied she flippantly treated the visit as a sightseeing attraction rather than the solemn memorial it’s intended as.
Responses: A number of people called out Farrah for the video, and she responded with a pair of emojis
One user wrote of her YouTube caption: ‘Using the word “enjoy” may not be the best ….,’ while another said, ‘Enjoy? Very wrong wording kinda.’
Another decried Farrah’s upbeat tone in the clip, writing, ‘Such a great day?!? It’s an AWFUL day in our nation’s history!’
Plenty of people focused on her verbal gaffe, with one writing, ‘7/11???? Clearly you are not the one who should be educating that child about 9/11!!!!!’
Farrah left a comment on the post – ostensibly in response to the backlash – of emojis depicting a heart and praying hands.
