She’s captivated the high fashion crowd ever since launching her eponymous label seven years ago thanks to her timeless silhouettes and bold feminine accents, but Rejina Pyo has finally stepped – momentarily – into the world of high street fashion via a much-anticipated collaboration collection with & Other Stories.
The London Fashion Week favourite – whose trademark aesthetic of relaxed suiting and instantly-recognisable day dresses bursting with personality has secured her a fiercely loyal fan base – will this week see the launch of her 11-piece collection mark her high street debut.
Never one to shy away from colour, bold oranges and olive greens punctuate this offering of impossibly chic – and inherently Rejina – staples.
Crafted from a combination of premium silk and sustainable materials such as organic cotton and wool sourced through the Responsible Wool Standard, the designer ensured her first foray into high street fashion by no means scrimped when it came to fabric sourcing.
Born in Seoul in South Korea, Rejina moved to London in 2008 and graduated from the Central Saint Martins in 2011.
She launched her eponymous label in 2013 after stints with fashion powerhouses Roksanda Ilincic and Christopher Raeburn, before putting on her debut London Fashion Week runway show in September 2017 and going on to win the highly-competitive Emerging Talent Award for Womenswear at the British Fashion Awards in 2019.
“With this collab I wanted to create an accessible and versatile collection,” explained Rejina, “but crucially, to craft it from a combination of sustainably sourced and long-lasting premium materials.”
“I had the busy woman in mind – constantly on the go, moving from work to play, day to night – and wanted to offer a selection of designs inspired by signature Rejina Pyo pieces”.
The Rejina Pyo x & Other Stories collection will be available to shop in selected stores and online from April 15th. For early pre-launch access on the 14th, sign up to become a newsletter subscriber here.
