The Euros are well and truly underway, with Gareth Southgate’s squad currently preparing for their next match.

England finished top of their group in the competition, with their win against the Czech Republic cementing their place in the round of 16.

Fellow home nations team Wales have also progressed to the knockout stages, too, despite their defeat to Italy, while Scotland were eliminated following a loss against Croatia.

So when is England playing next, and who will they be facing?

The game will be broadcast on BBC One and iPlayer, with kick-off scheduled for 5pm.

Who is playing in the last 16?

England will be playing Germany from Group F – which has been called the group of death by some, due to the fact it features three of the highest-rated teams in the world.

The other last 16 games are:

  • Wales vs Denmark
  • Italy vs Austria
  • Netherlands vs Czech Republic
  • Belgium vs Portugal
  • Croatia vs Spain
  • France vs Switzerland
  • Sweden vs Ukraine

Should England beat Germany in the tie, they would face either Ukraine or Sweden in the quarter-finals in Rome.

A potential semi-final date would involve the winner of Netherlands/Czech Republic vs Wales/Denmark.

The final game will be held at Wembley on Sunday July 11.
