Taking inspiration from the current trend for vitamin IV drips, the newest offering at FaceGym is Skin IV™.
Though, thankfully, there’s nothing intravenous about this treatment.
The vitamin shots work as an add-on to the usual circulation-boosting, collagen-producing, muscle- stimulating facial workouts FaceGym has become famous for.
After you’ve become reacquainted with your cheekbones thanks to the wonderful electric muscle- stimulation device tool they use as part of the signature facial, you’ll then be blasted with a high-pressured shot of Detox Water (silver oxide and hyaluronic acid) followed by an IV cocktail of your choice. Pick from the Clear Skin, Pro-Age and Deep Clean cocktails.
On advice from my “trainer”, for me it was all about the deep clean. The perfect remedy for the wonderfully long, but skin-damaging, sun-soaked summer. Glycolic acid, vitamin B5 and aloe vera work together to improve damage from over-exposure to dangerous UVs and to brighten the skin. Refreshing and relaxing but most of all, effective. There aren’t many facials I would go back to again and again but FaceGym is certainly one of them.
SKIN IV™ is available from FACEGYM Selfridges and King’s Road. Signature Electrical facial at FaceGym, £85. Add on Skin IV™ for £25 and the Detox Water Quick Clean for £15.
