A woman named Shar Holliday tagged Emmerdale star Alexander Lincoln in some snaps on social media which show the pair enjoying the sunshine together
Emmerdale heart throb Alexander Lincoln appears to be totally loved up with his rumoured new girlfriend Shar Holliday.
The 27-year-old actor joined the ITV soap two years ago and has become a firm favourite on the Dales as bad boy Jamie Tate.
He and Shar seem to have been enjoying romantic trips to Croatia and the Lake District in recent months.
Pretty brunette Shar uploaded a series of snaps of her and Alexander enjoying boat trips around Croatia last month, while they both shared identical photos from a trip to the Lake District in July.
Various snaps on Alexander’s Instagram page show him grinning from ear-to-ear as he poses in the mountains.
The actor has played vet Jamie on the much-lovedITV soap since 2019, but recently was seemingly killed off.
Jamie was fleeing the village when he crashed his car into the lake after he tried to answer a call from Gabby Thomas – who is pregnant with his child.
Earlier this week, Alexander was slammed for ‘ruining’ the storyline after he revealed he was back to work in front of cameras – with many assuming this means he is set to make a shock return to the soap after his character was killed off.
But on Tuesday, the star threw fans into a frenzy when he revealed he was getting back to work on a mystery project.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “Getting back to early starts on set today,” – alongside a dazed-face emoji and a film camera emoji.
Fans immediately assumed the actor was making a reference to Emmerdale – and have accused him of spoiling the fact Jamie is not dead after all.
One angered fan blasted: “So Jaime isnt dead then, shock horror (sic).”
Another “concurred: “Guessing Jamie isn’t dead then.”
While a further furious soap fan said Alexander had ruined soaps entirely for them, as they replied:”I’ve given up on soaps, the actors on socials spoil storylines too often like if they’re leaving etc. What’s the point if you know what’s gonna happen”
Responding to the apparent backlash, Jamie himself teased that fans might be jumping to conclusions.
Replying on Twitter to one enraged follower who accused him of ruining the soap, the TV hunk wrote: “Unless it’s a different set… Have to wait and see.”
The Mirror has contacted a rep for Alexander asking for comment.
