A HORROR attack has left a man disembowelled and trampled to death by an elephant.
Charles Mutisya, 73, was attacked as he worked on his farm in Makueni, Kenya.
The elephant is thought to have started from the nearby Tsavo East National Park before it attacked the elderly man.
Makueni County Police Commander Joseph Ole Naipeyan said rangers visited the scene and found Mr Mutisya with his organs ripped out.
His body is now being preserved awaiting an autopsy.
Officers and rangers are still currently patrolling the area, Naipeyan said.
