Eighties teen idol Tiffany swears at crowd during performance

Eighties teen idol Tiffany was filmed swearing at fans during an awkward performance of her hit song I Think We’re Alone Now.

Tiffany – full name Tiffany Darwish – was heard singing the song roughly and also seemed to skip a few lyrics throughout. However, her fans tried to support her by singing with her.

The 50-year-old was performing in Melbourne, Florida when she got annoyed at people in her audience.

She shouted: “F**k you” to a few random people in the crowd. The audience reacted by cheering even more.

“This is my hit,” she said according to reports. “I’ve been singing it right.”

A rep for Tiffany told TMZ that the singer lost her voice and got frustrated with her performance.

Tiffany seems to be in the middle of her Shadows tour, which started at the end of October Suquamish, Washington.

Hopefully, her voice returns by her next show on November 28 in Jacksonville, Florida.

I Think We’re Alone Now is her cover of Tommy Hames and the Shondells song. Her version spent two weeks at number one on The Billboard Hot 100 list.

Since rising to fame in the late 1980s, the star has constantly been releasing albums.

However, only her first two – Tiffany and Hold An Old Friend’s Hand – reached the top 20s in the music charts.

Tiffany previously discussed how covering I Think We’re Alone Now came about.

She originally never ‘thought about recording it’ an old some from 20 years before, but thankfully changed her mind.

The singer told Classic Pop in 2018 : “When I heard it I was really disappointed, but I took it home to learn and, while I was in my bedroom, practising, my girlfriends walked in and immediately started jumping around and singing the song.

“So, as they all loved it, I agreed to go into the studio to record it… it all started from there. I had so many people compliment me on the song. Everyone seemed to love it and I got to see how much happiness it brought to everybody.

“Before I knew it, it was a single and we were rolling.”

She also spoke to Closer last year where she opened up about her rise to stardom at such a young age.

“Fame is a trip, and the highs and lows affect you no matter what age you enter into it,” she said.
