Kara Tointon has finally unveiled her baby boy’s very unique name.
The former EastEnders star welcomed her son with fiancé Marius Jensen earlier this month.
The couple, who already share two-year-old son Frey, have named their son Helly in a nod to Marius’ native Norway.
Revealing the name to Hello! magazine, the 37-year-old said: “He is an incredibly cool little man. He is very Zen, he has a calming effect. He is so chilled and wonderful.”
Speaking about the name, she added: “We found it had both Indian history and Scandinavian links.”
Marius explained: “The first Helly we found was an old Norwegian sea captain, from a place in Norway called Moss, a tiny little town where my grandmother is from. We looked him up and he was a big, bearded guy like myself and it sort of fell into place.”
One of Helly’s middle names is Juel, which is a Norwegian name that sounds like Yule, and refers to their son being born just after Christmas.
His other middle name is Parsell, which was the maiden name of Kara’s beloved mum who died in 2019.
Helly was born by elective Caesarean section, a decision Kara made following her four-day ordeal with Frey, who was born by emergency C-section after his heartbeat dropped following 58 hours of labour.
Earlier today, Kara shared a pair of beautiful pictures from her walk through Kensington Gardens with her boys.
She captioned them: “Lucky to have our sanctuary so close. Kensington Gardens – we love you.”
She nailed her casual look, looking stunning in a pair of jeans and boots with a black puffer coat and a knitted hat.
Kara announced her baby’s arrival on January 13, sharing a sweet black and white picture of his little hand.
She told her fans: “Our second bundle of joy arrived on Friday 8th at 9.46 am weighing 7.25 pounds.
“Couldn’t be more excited to start 2021 with this incredibly cool little man joining our family.
“Thank you to the amazing team at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital for bringing him into the world safely. 08/01/2021”
