Don't Be Tardy: Kim Zolciak learns her estranged father Joseph had cancer from Aunt Lorie

Kim Zolciak learned that her estranged father Joseph had cancer during a family road trip on Tuesday’s season eight premiere of Don’t Be Tardy on Bravo.

The 42-year-old reality star reunited with her Aunt Laurie at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Columbus, Ohio while embarking on a cross-country trip with her husband Kroy Biermann, 35, and their six children.

Laurie brought along her wife Caroline and a jar of her celebrated strawberry jam that she gifted Kim.

‘Oh, my god. Your jam? Stop it right now,’ said Kim, who then reminisced about the fudge cookies that her mother Karen used to make.

‘You can come to Ohio. We have a cookie party every year,’ Laurie said.

‘I don’t want to see my mother,’ mumbled Kim who accused her mother of selling stories about her to the tabloids and has been estranged from her parents since.

‘Whatever. It is what it is. Who cares? I’m past all that. I’m fine,’ she added.

‘That’s too bad,’ Caroline chimed in.

Kim’s daughter Brielle then asked Laurie if she knew about her reconciliation attempt with her grandparents.

Brielle was then shown in a flashback two years ago speaking on the phone with her grandmother.

‘I just haven’t seen you in six years, and I feel like if you really wanted to see us,’ Brielle said.

‘You know what, Brielle? It’s just not gonna work,’ Karen told her.

Kim in a confessional said that daughters Brielle and Ariana, 18, know they can reach out anytime to their grandparents Karen and Joseph.

‘They had a relationship with them. I don’t stop my kids from any of that. The relationship that’s strained is between my parents and myself,’ she said.

Brielle then asked how her ‘Nana and Poppy’ were doing.

‘Uh, your grandpa had some medial stuff going on,’ Laurie informed them.
