That’s right, Disney has announced that they’re planning ‘staycation’ cruises for UK residents in 2021.

Disney’s Magic at Sea UK cruises will set off for round-trips from UK ports and stay local, offering all the perks of a cruise for all the family without going international.

From ticket availability to where the boat will set sail from, here’s what we know about the cruise so far…

Activities and entertainment on the UK Disney cruise

Kids will get to meet and greet some of their favourite characters, from Frozen’s Elsa to a host of Marvel heroes.

The whole family will also be able to enjoy ‘West End-quality’ stage productions as well as themed restaurants offering a wide variety of different cuisines.

There are also yet-to-be-specified ‘unique recreational offerings for adults’ on offer – presumably organisers are waiting until closer to the time to give out more details to ensure they account for any possible changes to Covid-19 regulations.

Ticket holders will set sail on the Disney Magic liner, which also has pools and waterslides.

Thomas Mazloum, president of Disney Cruise Line, said: ‘Our teams are bringing tremendous ingenuity and fun to these new cruises, tailoring them with care to the times we are living in, yet filling them with everything you’d expect from Disney, from great service and entertainment to immersive dining experiences and magic for the whole family.’

How to book tickets for the Disney 2021 cruise

Tickets for these UK domestic cruises won’t be on sale until April.

All being well, there will be two, three and limited four-night tickets available for the cruise.

Unfortunately, that’s about all the information we have on tickets for now, with the Disney website recommending people ‘check back soon for more details’.

Where does the Disney cruise sail from?

The Disney Magic at Sea cruise will set sail on round-trips from London Tilbury, Newcastle, Liverpool and Southampton.

Passengers won’t be allowed to disembark from the cruise ship at any point.

What safety measures will be in place?

Disney has promised coronavirus risk-reducing measures including reduced capacity, Covid testing, social distancing and deep cleaning.

As ever, all things regarding the cruise are subject to change depending on the Government’s Covid-19 regulations at the time.
