Del Amitri announce tour with free Glasgow NHS gig – here's how to get tickets

Legendary Glasgow band Del Amitri has announced a UK tour at the end of 2021 – including a special free gig for NHS workers in Glasgow.

The rockers behind hits including Nothing Ever Happens and Roll To Me will play dates around Scotland and the rest of the UK in September, October and December 2021.

As well as Scottish shows in Hamilton, Aberdeen, Inverness, Perth, Dunoon and Oban, there will be one special gig at the Barrowlands on December 19th for NHS and key workers.

However Glasgow fans who can’t get tickets for the fully booked free show will still have a chance to see the band the following night at the Barrowlands again.

This will be the band’s first full UK headline tour since the summer of 2018, and is part of the promotion for their new album, Fatal Mistakes, which is released on May 28, 2021.

The Dels, as they’re affectionately known to fans, started off in 1982 as a joint venture between frontman Justin Currie and guitarist Ian Harvie.

The Glaswegians group found worldwide success with hits such as Kiss This Thing Goodbye and Always The Last To Know.

In 1998, Del Amitri recorded the official song for Scotland’s France ’98 World Cup bid. Entitled Don’t Come Home Too Soon.

The band released their first single in 18 years, Close Your Eyes And Think Of England, in late 2020, followed by It’s Feelings in early 2021.

Tickets for the Del Amitri 2021 UK tour are on sale now on Ticketmaster.
