DANNIELLA Westbrook has updated fans after undergoing surgery for a nasty sinus infection.
The 47-year-old actress was recently in hospital for the second time in a matter of weeks after the sinus infection left her in intensive care.
She updated her fans to let them know her surgery had been a ‘huge success’ and she would spend her recovery enjoying the snowy conditions.
“Thanks for all the messages of support for my operation. It was a huge success and I’m so happy thank you to @LivHospitals and the best staff surgical team and cleanest hospital ever x #NHS #Liverpool.”
Daniella also told fans she has been busy since getting out of hospital, even though she wanted curl up and watch Christmas movies.
“Woke up to a winter wonderland. Perfect day 2 chill,watch Christmas movies,bake bread & cookies,start online Christmas shopping & enjoy a cozy day,” she wrote on Twitter.
“The reality is, I have to do a food shop,unpack storage boxes,load a skip with the junk From the renovation : enjoy the weekend x”
Last week Danniella told her Instagram followers that she was back at Aintree University Hospital waiting to go into theatre.
She shared a selfie in her gown and wrote: “Feel so overwhelmed and full of hope and gratitude. Huge thanks to the most amazing surgeons and @nhs team x.”
Posting the same picture on her Instagram Story, she added Christina Aguilera’s anthem Fighter.
During her last hospital stay Danniella was told she might need surgery to prevent a repeat of the infection.
It came after antibiotics failed to beat it, leaving her “really poorly”.
Doctors worried the infection could spread to “her brain”, with a pal telling us: “Experts were concerned infected mucus could track back to her brain, but she is being well cared for in hospital and is on the mend.”
Danniella, who played Sam Mitchell in EastEnders, sparked further concern when she posted a message to her children and mum.
The star shared the message on Instagram to the sound of How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding.
It read: “Tell someone you love them today. Because tomorrow is not promised. To my family and my friends, I love you.”
