In recent weeks James – who weighs 27 stone – has shared that he is on a mission to shift the pounds and is planning to undergo life-saving gastric surgery after struggling for years with eating disorders.
Following recovery from the operation, James will be able to start exercising to ensure he gets down to a healthy size alongside managing his food intake.
And now Dan, 29, has publicly announced that he is willing to cheer James, 33, on – as soon as lockdown eases and gyms reopen.
Dan’s kind gesture was unveiled below a snap James posted on his Instagram page on Tuesday.
The ex-boyfriend of Gemma Collins typed: “A CHANGE IS GONNA COME.
“I can’t wait to be Happy & Healthy again, I’m feeling super positive. I’m nervous about the big operation & surgery but I know it’s for the best & will be life changing! I’m inspired by @gypsyking101 comeback & can’t wait to be back to my very best.”
Showing his support for the Essex native, Dan typed below the offering: “You got this brother as soon as the gyms are open, we are putting the work in mate x.”

Susanna questioned: “What have the doctors said about your weight?”
“I’m currently at 27 stone, I’ve been speaking regularly at the doctors and nurses and they’ve been giving me advice,” Arg said. “They’re saying the size I am, it could be fatal. If I get Covid, I could be a goner.”

Recently, he said he believes he has since “substituted the drugs and alcohol with food”.
