Curtis and AJ Pritchard raise vital funds for NHS with wacky online dance class

Curtis and AJ Pritchard are the latest celebrities to do their part in helping to fight the coronavirus crisis.

The dancing brothers have been on a mission to get the nation dancing indoors to raise money for the NHS who need it now more than ever.

Former Love Island star Curtis, 24, and his Strictly Come Dancing brother, 25, are encouraging fans and followers alike to join in on their online dance classes where they will be donating to the official charity partner to the NHS, ‘NHS Charities Together’.

The talented siblings are working hard to support overworked and vulnerable NHS staff and volunteers who are bravely caring for COVID-19 patients all over the nation.

Despite the fact that their 2020 joint dance tour has been cancelled until further notice, AJ and Curtis are putting their energy elsewhere by asking the nation to join them in an indoor dance class.

In a bid to keep their followers active, encouraged and entertained, the professional dancing duo started a campaign by the name of #DressUpDanceDonate.

Since they came up with the genius idea last week, the #DressUpDanceDonate campaign has come on leaps and bounds with the brothers uploading dance tutorials of the creative routine daily on Instagram.

Last night, the pair showcased their moves on Instagram live as they were joined by thousands of excited fans gearing up to learn some new moves.

Dressed as batman and a human-sized Rubik’s cube, the brothers put on a serious show for fans as they were joined by their tour dance crew who were kitted out in dinosaur costumes for the special occasion.

The brothers charitable move comes after AJ’s shock decision to quit Strictly Come Dancing sent shockwaves through the show’s dedicated fanbase.

The 25-year-old professional dancer stood down from his position on the show’s cast with a statement outlining his wish to go into television presenting with younger brother Curtis.

AJ has now opened up about the real reason behind his decision, admitting Strictly ran him so ragged with its gruelling 18-hour days that he “had no life”.

“It took up six months of my life, some days I would work 18-hour days because I was dancing and choreographing,” he told the Sun.

“I didn’t have a life and I wanted to be able to do more.”

Now he and Curtis want to work on having their own TV brand and have set out plans to become “the next Ant and Dec”.

“I want to have my own brand and there were things I couldn’t do because of the Strictly brand and the time involved,” he went on.
