Corrie actress Harriet Bibby has shown off her stunning new hair ‘do in a series of posts online. The actress took over playing Summer Spellman from Mathilda Freeman
Coronation Street star Harriet Bibby has stunned fans by showing off her new look online.
The 23-year-old actress plays Summer Spellman in the ITV soap after taking over from Mathilda Freeman.
She has now showed off the brand new Summer with blonde hair.
Harriet joined TikTok and shared a video where she shows her face without make-up and wearing a casual white T-shirt before becoming Summer.
In the second part of the video, the actress wears a red jumper with curled hair falling on her shoulders.
And fans were quick to respond, reports the MEN.
One wrote: “You’re gorgeous both ways” while another commented: “Omg it’s Summer.”
Another person added: “Sooooo pretty, such a beautiful actress.”
Earlier this year, Coronation Street fans were left baffled when Harriet revealed her real age.
During a chat with Lorraine Kelly, she said that she was 23, meaning she plays a character who is seven years younger than her.
Lorraine replied: “You look younger, and that’s great! She’s what, 16? But I think because of the storylines she’s going through, you need to have that sort of maturity in a way to deal with that, because in her young life she’s gone through a lot!”
Many viewers took to Twitter to share their feeling about that revelation.
One wrote: “23? I was thinking 13! #Lorraine” while another said: “23! I’m still like #lorraine.”
In an episode aired in June, Summer is diagnosed with type one diabetes after struggling to recover from Seb Franklin’s death, played by Harry Visinoni.
She feels guilty over his death and Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) grow concerned about her.
Regarding her character’s diagnosis, Harriet told Metro : “Physically, this is her body is telling her to stop and check itself, Billy has been very worried about her, she’s just found out that they think she’s got an eating disorder and is quite cross.
“During a heated discussion with Billy, she collapses. Billy then is obviously very shocked and worried, they get her into the ambulance and take her off to hospital to find out what’s up.”
Harriet also claimed that the news came as a terrible shock for the Corrie character.
