Compromise, coalition partners await if BJP loses majority

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared relaxed and in a celebratory mood as he received a massive garland of flowers at a meeting on Tuesday evening with three dozen of his coalition partners.

The Prime Minister, whose Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is predicted to come back to power, thanked his allies and even discussed plans for the next five years, including a key promise to double farmers’ income by 2022 and increase economic growth.
