GOOD EVENING FROM BARRANGUILLA
Welcome to our live coverage of the 2022 World Cup qualifying match between Colombia and Argentina at the El Metro Stadium.
The Albiceleste are looking to extend their undefeated run in the South American qualifying round, which has led them to second place in the table behind Brazil who have won all of their five matches so far.
Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has received a major boost as Manchester City record goalscorer, and recent Barcelona signing, Sergio Aguero has linked up with the rest of the squad.
Aguero is not certain to play with Barca legend Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp, as the six-time Ballon d’Or winner’s future is still unclear, but the pair is highly likely to lead the attack tonight.
Former City star, and current Benfica ace, Nicolas Otamendi is also set to return in Scaloni’s backline after serving a suspension last Friday against Chile.
Colombia manager Reinaldo Rueda will be without Daniel Munoz due to a suspension after the right-back was sent off on Friday’s World Cup qualifier at Peru.
Everton star James Rodriguez is also going to be absent following a controversial back-and-forth between Colombia and the Toffees regarding the attacking midfielder’s fitness.
But James’ team-mate at Goodison Park Yerry Mina is set to partner up with Tottenham ace Davinson Sanchez at the heart of the back four
