Cockroaches invade Lily Allen and Stranger Things' star David Harbour's home

Lily Allen and her TV star hubby were left battling Stranger Things – when their kitchen was invaded by cockroaches.

Lily was in New York with actor David Harbour when she spotted the creepy crawlies climbing a wall.

The singer revealed: “Cockroaches are a thing. A thing you might find in NY, crawling the kitchen wall at any given time.”

She called the insects “f******disgusting.”

Lily, 36, has been staying in the Big Apple with David, 46, who plays detective Jim Hopper in supernatural drama Stranger Things, and her two kids Ethel, nine, and Marnie, eight.

It’s not Lily’s first incident with a cockroach. In 2014, she said: “I’ve got a real issue with mass-produced food and I had spaghetti bolognese at a hotel in Paris once and it had a cockroach in it.

“So now I’ve got this eternal fear of room service.”

Lily was reunited with husband David in New York last winter after admitting she had spent part of their marriage maintaining a long distance relationship.

They wed in secret in September.

Later, Lily detailed the reality of juggling their relationship with busy schedules, saying: “I got married 48 days ago. I hadn’t seen my husband for 45 days after I got married.”

Lily and David’s nuptials were conducted by an Elvis Presley impersonator at the Graceland Wedding Chapel.

She primarily lives in London with her two daughters from her first marriage to builder Sam Cooper, while David has been working in America.

Lily, daughter of actor Keith Allen and sister of Game of Thrones’ Alfie Allen, is to make her West End stage debut in August.

She is due to star as Jenny, alongside EastEnders actor Jake Wood, Hadley Fraser and Julia Chan, in supernatural drama 2:22 – A Ghost Story at the Noel Coward Theatre.

Her character believes her home is haunted, although her husband disagrees.

Of her upcoming part she said: “Well this is all very new and exciting.”
