John Legend made it a family affair at Joe Biden’s election rally last night as his wife Chrissy Teigen and their two children joined him on-stage.

The Ordinary People singer performed at Biden’s final campaign rally in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Monday alongside Lady Gaga who was also on the bill.

During his emotional ballad Never Break, John invited his family to share the stage with him prompting Chrissy to emerge with their daughter Luna, four, and son Miles, two.

It’s the first time the former Lip Sync Battle presenter has made a public appearance since the tragic death of their baby boy Jack, who died 20 weeks into her pregnancy.

Chrissy, 34, supportively wrapped her arms around John’s shoulders and kissed him on the cheek as he sat at the piano.

He told the crowd: ‘We’re teaching our young people early they’ve got to participate in democracy. We’re here to save democracy.’

As little Luna sweetly tapped him on the back, John revealed: ‘I want to do this next song that I dedicated to my wife a little while ago. I wrote this song from my new album.

‘I wrote this song as a tribute to our relationship and the fact that love can get us through all kinds of tough times. We know that the whole nation is going through tough times right now and we know Joe Biden personally has experienced so much tragedy.

‘What I think he’s taught us, what I think he’s brought to this job, this idea of being the leader of this nation is the fact that he’s resilient, the fact he has empathy, that he understands what it’s like to feel serious pain, and he’s able to lead this country out of a serious dark time in our history.’

John, 41, had first dedicated Never Break to Chrissy at the Billboard Music Awards last month.

The couple suffered the heartbreaking death of their baby boy in September after Chrissy was rushed to hospital due to abnormal bleeding.

Over the weekend, Chrissy revealed the new tattoo she has of Jack’s name on her wrist while John unveiled a similar tattoo.

During his performance at Biden’s rally, John slammed rappers such as Lil Wayne, 50 Cent and Kanye West for supporting Donald Trump in the US election.

The crooner told the audience: ‘Some people see the meanness, the bullying, the selfishness of Donald Trump and they mistake it for strength, a kind of twisted masculinity.

‘Some people see his greed and they mistake it for being good at business. Some of your, former, favourite rappers have been taken in by these lies. I think they’ve even founded a new super group. It’s called the Sunken Place. But Trump‘s Platinum Plan for Black folks is nothing but fools gold.’
