Cher and Barbra Streisand lead a host of stars who performed at the concert special, We The People, celebrating the upcoming Inauguration.

As the nation prepares for Joe Biden to be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States, Sunday night kicked off the start of Inauguration Week celebrations in style.

Taking place via Zoom, the superstar heaped praise on the President-elect, 74, who was attending with his wife Dr. Jill Biden.

Cher stated: ‘This is your time.I know you’re going to take the country in an amazing direction and I know that you love everybody, because that’s who you are.’

The singer was seen saying: ‘I’m so happy. I can’t tell you how happy I am. You are the right man, for the right job, at the right time… I’m so thrilled. I know you’re going to take the country in an amazing direction, and I know that you love everybody, because that’s who you are.’

Cher added that she feels ‘hopeful’ for the future of America as she told Joe: ‘I know you’re tough. Everyone else knows you’re compassionate, but I know you’re tough. And I know that you’re the man. You’re the man.’
