Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is considering leaving Willian out of his starting line-up for Saturday’s FA Cup final against Arsenal due to the Gunners’ interest in signing the Brazilian.

The 31-year-old signed a short-term deal with Chelsea to enable him to finish the season at Stamford Bridge but doubt remains over his long-term future in west London.

Willian’s representatives are seeking a three-year deal for the winger but Chelsea are only offering two and are showing no signs of budging.

Arsenal are keen on signing the Brazil international and are willing to meet his wage demands.

However, in what could be an ironic end to his seven-year stay at Stamford Bridge, Willian’s final game as a Chelsea player looks set to be against the Gunners at Wembley on Saturday.

Chelsea now expect Willian to sign for Mikel Arteta’s side but the Sun claim Lampard fears the imminent move could impact the winger’s performance.

He’s therefore considering leaving Willian out of his starting line-up, which could mean the Brazilian has to settle for a place on the bench.

Olivier Giroud is expected to start up front against his former side, meaning Tammy Abraham will have to settle for a place on the bench.

Christian Pulisic returned to fitness to face Wolves on the last day of the season and the American is set to start at Wembley.
