CHELSEA outcast Michy Batshuayi has given the finger to joining Anderlecht in a hilarious tweet.
The striker posted a photo of himself seemingly making a rude gesture – but covering the offending finger with a “LOL” sticker – next to a link suggesting Vincent Kompany’s men are planning a deadline-day swoop.
And Francefootball reported this afternoon the Belgian’s home country club are “trying everything” to sign him.
But ex-Standard Liege star Batshuayi has insisted in the past month he still wants to stay at Stamford Bridge and fight for a regular place.
After joining Chelsea from Marseille for £32million in April 2016, the 25-year-old has been loaned to Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace.
And Batshuayi appears no further forward under Lampard than with previous manager Maurizio Sarri.
Nonetheless, he tonight posted what seems a clear rejection to Anderlecht.
And his cheeky response divided social media – with many fans claiming Batshuayi had an inflated opinion of both his ability and his chances of becoming a Stamford Bridge regular.
One called his attitude “deplorable” while another tweeted: “You’re better on Twitter than in the field”.
Batshuayi was also taunted for falling down the pecking order for both the Blues and Belgium.
But some supporters insisted Batshuayi remained important to Chelsea’s squad, partly as their transfer ban has left them short of front-line cover.
Such views on Batshuay’s possible exit included: “No chance we need him” and “Letting him go no make no sense”.
