Megan Barton Hanson and Demi Sims have sparked split rumours – just weeks after they were first linked.

The pair have seemed seriously loved-up recently, getting flirty while starring on Celebs Go Dating together.

But, despite kissing for the cameras at the ITV Summer Party, the 25-year-old Love Island favourite and Towie newbie, 22, have now unfollowed each other on Instagram.

And basically love is dead.

The move may come as a shock, as the lovebirds have been hitting it off lately, with their flirtation playing out on the E4 dating show.

However, dating coach Anna Williamson teased there is still a lot more to come for viewers.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, she told us: ‘What I would say is that the series is quite up and down for the girls, with regards to dating people and exploring feelings for each other.

‘It is not as clear cut as perhaps the pictures are portraying, so I think if you watch the series you’ll work out and find out the real story that goes on behind the girls’ [romance], to where we have now ended up with it.’

Anna also took a second to blast claims Megan and Demi are faking their romance for the camera, in a bid to promote Celebs Go Dating.

‘It’s absolutely real,’ she continued. ‘Their emotions and their feelings for each other are complicated, but there is undeniably genuine, genuine emotion between the girls.

‘I wasn’t surprised but we don’t really encourage… Part of our rules is that celebs can’t date celebs while they are in the agency, but there was clearly a spark between the girls and it would be foolish of us to not support that.

‘You can’t fake connection, you can’t fake emotion and attraction, so we have supported the girls in exploring whatever there was to explore.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Megan and Demi for a comment.
