Cartel thugs hang decapitated head from bridge in chilling warning to Mexico’s biggest gang in bloody turf war

MEXICAN cartel killers have left a severed head hanging from bridge with a chilling warning to a powerful rival gang.

Local media reported that authorities were alerted to the gruesome sight Saturday approximately at 2am in the Tijuana neighborhood of Sánchez Taboada.

The head was placed inside a plastic bag that was tied to a rope. Inside the bag was also a message that warned:  “This is going to happen to all the people who hang out with the new f****** filthy people.”

It’s reported that the message was from one Tijuana cartel to another, blasting them for alleged ties to a Jalisco cartel.

It was signed off by the Arellano-Félix Cartel, which is also known as the Tijuana Cartel warning the Tijuana New Generation Cartel to severe any ties to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

Since El Chapo was extradited and jailed in 2019 , the CJNG has become  £13 billion drug empire under new leadership, Nemesio ‘El Mencho’ Oseguera Cervantes which has now consolidated power across almost the whole of Mexico.

The Tijuana New Generation Cartel formed in 2016 under the leadership of Héctor Manuel Morales Guzmán and consists of cells that splintered from the Arellano-Félix Cartel, according to Infobae.

However, the union was not approved by some of the cartel members who saw themselves loyal to the leaders of the Arellano-Félix Cartel, which was founded in 1989.

Although most of Mexico’s drug smuggling routes are under the control the Sinaloa Cartel and Gulf Cartel, the Tijuana Cartel saw its power weakened with the arrests of its top boss, Javier Arellano Félix, in 2006.

The cartel fell under the control of his brother, Eduardo Arellano Félix, before he was arrested in October 2008 and extradited to the United States in October 2012.

The organisation was then engulfed with infighting by two cartel factions, one commanded by Luis Fernando Sánchez Arellano, who assumed the top leadership role until his capture in June 2014, and Teodoro García Simental, who was apprehended in September 2010.

Eduardo Arellano Félix was sentenced by a federal court judge in San Diego in June  2013 to 15-year prison term for “laundering tens of millions of dollars in illicit drug proceeds.”

U.S. authorities saw this verdict as the nail on the coffin for a transnational organisation that “orchestrated the importation of hundreds of tons of cocaine and marijuana into the United States,” according to prosecutors.

They say the cartel also ordered the kidnap and murder of multiple people, and directed the widespread corruption of law enforcement and military personnel in Mexico.

Arellano Félix is expected to be released from prison August 18 due to his cooperation with U.S. authorities.

He is currently being held at Federal Correctional Institution Allenwood in Allenwood, Pennsylvania.
