Cardi B’s rapper husband Offset is lucky to be alive after a recording studio where he was working was ‘peppered with bullets’ during a drive-by shooting on Wednesday.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is understood to have been working at the Crossover Entertainment Group studio when shots were fired into the building.
The Migos star, 27, is said to have escaped the incident unscathed and was gone from the venue before police arrived, according to TMZ.

Offset was reportedly in the studio when shots rang out, according to what witnesses told local police.
Sources said the shooting occurred after Offset had stepped outside ‘to chill for a few minutes,’ and once gunfire erupted, those inside the studio rushed for cover.
One victim was allegedly harmed in the drive-by after being shot in the leg but, as was the case with Cardi B’s husband, the victim was no longer at the scene of the crime.
Police are investigating the incident and a witness told TMZ they believed Offset may have been the target of the attack.

Law enforcement has yet to speak with the rapper, who was ‘long gone’ by the time cops arrived but they will likely need to interview the star.
Photos from the scene show bullet ridden doors and broken glass and TMZ reports on the existence of surveillance footage of a vehicle heading down the street and ‘firing shots before speeding away.’
Cardi B, 26, was not at the studio or even in Atlanta, Georgia during the shooting.

On Wednesday night the Grammy winner performed at the Hollywood Palladium for the launch of her latest Fashion Nova X Cardi B collection.
The couple have a a 10-month-old daughter Kulture.
Offset has had quite a few legal issues recently and a warrant for his arrest was issued last week in Georgie for allegedly breaking a fan’s cell phone inside a Target store in April.
Police determined that Offset’s move was ‘intentional,’ according to TMZ, and the charge is a felony because the phone costs $800.

During the alleged incident, a fan named Junior Gibbons approached the musician and asked him, ‘What up, Offset?’ while the star was trying to shop for items inside the large chain store.
Offset reportedly did not appear too enthused with the encounter and did not seem to like the man filming him with his cell phone.
Offset allegedly said, ‘Get the f*** out of my face.’
The video then reportedly shows Offset knock the phone out of the man’s hand. The phone then fell to the ground causing the screen to break.

Meanwhile the rapper believes that he is being exploited in the case as his lawyer Drew Findling told TMZ the warrant is ‘disgraceful and should be dismissed immediately.’
In an unrelated case prior to that the rapper was charged by prosecutors with felony gun possession after he was arrested for allegedly carrying three firearms while on probation last summer.
The Clayton County D.A.’s Office filed three charges against the hip hop star in February, including the felony charge for firearms possession by a convicted felon, and misdemeanor charges for marijuana possession and an improper lane change.
The rapper entered a not guilty plea in March, and is set to return to court in May.

The Georgia native said he escaped punishment that same month after police released him following the traffic stop, after the officer took a selfie with his superstar wife, Cardi B, who was on FaceTime with him at the time.
He tweeted July 2: ‘Just got let go on a pull over for a FaceTime pic with my wife (SHES THE BEST).’
Offset was previously taken into custody over two years ago in Atlanta in connection with for driving with a suspended license.
He was arrested the year before after a show at Georgia Southern University in connection with drug and gun charges.
