Cardi B wore 200 Swarvoksi crystals on her nails for Grammys – but hid them with gloves

You know you’re extra when you splash out for diamond-encrusted nails, only to cover them up with gloves.

So congratulations, Cardi B – you’re the most extra of them all.

The 26-year-old’s dazzling manicure for the Grammys has been revealed by her nail technician Jenny Bui, after she covered up the mani with gloves in both her red carpet and awards show looks.

Jenny created a bling-tastic peach manicure for her famous client, using OPI Gel Polish in Machu Peach-u and embellishing her talons with between 15 and 20 Swarovski crystals each, all surrounding a large centred crystal.

The self-proclaimed Bling Queen explained on Instagram: ‘She want to look neutral and elegant.’

However, those 200 Swarvoksi crystals were hidden away on the red carpet, with the Bodak Yellow rapper wearing elbow length pink gloves to go with her incredible Thierry Mugler oyster dress.

Even when Cardi changed out of her red carpet couture, her hands were still concealed, with the rapper wearing amazing fringed gloves to accept her award for Best Rap Album for Invasion Of Privacy.

Cardi’s bejewelled talons did get an airing, however, during her performance of Money – which left her husband Offset practically salivating.

We don’t think it was her manicure he was looking at, though.

Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, pulled out all the stops for the 2019 Grammys, absolutely owning the red carpet in vintage Thierry Mugler.

The amazing creation featured a black skirt which opened up to reveal a clam-shaped blush interior – with Cardi, in a flesh toned bodysuit, as the pearl in the oyster.

The avant garde look debuted at Mugler’s then 20th anniversary runway in 1995 at Paris’s Cirque d’Hiver, where Simonetta Gianfella wore the creation.

Cardi kept the styling exactly the same, wearing pearls around her neck and piled on top of her head, with her hair in a high bun.
