Biggest losers included Crescent Point Energy Corp . (TSX:), which lost 3.80% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.77 in late trade. Enghouse Systems Ltd (TSX:) declined 3.74% or 2.68 points to end at 68.93 and MEG Energy Corp (TSX:) shed 3.67% or 0.11 points to 2.89.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 648 to 404 and 105 ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.98% or 19.15 to $1967.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.08% or 0.03 to hit $37.30 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.48% or 0.19 to trade at $39.64 a barrel.
CAD/USD was up 0.05% to 0.7588, while CAD/EUR fell 0.04% to 0.6397.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 93.078.
