Burnley vs Chelsea LIVE: Team news, line-ups and more ahead of Premier League fixture today

Burnley are hosting Chelsea in the Premier League this afternoon in the 3pm GMT kick-off at Turf Moor.

Frank Lampard’s Blues enjoyed a big win over Krasnodar in the Europa League in midweek and seem to be finding their groove with the addition of Hakim Ziyech to the first team and Christian Pulisic also getting up to speed. Burnley meanwhile have found the going tough so far this season but did push Spurs close last time out and showed signs of their old selves returning.

Ziyech was a standout performer against Krasnodar, so his first Premier League start will excite Chelsea fans. It’ll be interesting to see how Abraham does, too, given Werner’s recent form as the lone striker.

Pep Guardiola speaks to BT Sport: “We played really well. We struggled to score goals from the chances we create. They had one chance, that’s it, so incredibly satisfied.”

Burnley make one change, bringing in Dale Stephens for Johann Berg Gudmundsson.

For Chelsea, Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech and Tammy Abraham replace Jorginho, Cesar Azpilicueta and Timo Werner in the starting XI.

Over to Turf Moor now, where Burnley host Chelsea. Like Sheffield United, the Clarets have yet to win in the Premier League this season, although they ran Spurs close in a 1-0 defeat last time out.

They face a Chelsea side in decent shape after an emphatic midweek Champions League win over Krasnodar. Frank Lampard’s side appear to have addressed their concerning defensive issues, and they’ll hope to build on last weekend’s goalless draw at Old Trafford.

City climb to seventh with victory today, two points off leaders Everton and Liverpool in second.

Sheffield United are 19th, but could be bottom by the end of the weekend.
