BTS might be a force of nature as a band, but the members are making waves with their solo songs too, with Jungkook and Jimin both breaking records this week.

Earlier in the week, Jungkook became the only K-pop star to have two songs chart on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, both of which are the longest-charting songs by a K-pop idol.

My Time charted at number seven, while Euphoria took up the number 15 spot, with Euphoria charting for 31 weeks and My Time being the second longest charting solo song by a K-pop idol at 27 weeks, tied with Jimin’s Filter.

Euphoria is also the most-streamed solo song from a K-pop idol on Spotify, where fellow bandmate Jimin is also breaking milestones too.

While Jungkook’s song might be the most-streamed, Jimin has become the first Korean soloist with two songs achieving over 100 million streams on Spotify after Serendipity Full Length Edition broke this huge number.

The track, which was released in August 2018, follows his song Lie, which broke the 100 million mark in April of this year.

Of course, BTS aren’t just taking over when it comes to the charts – they also became TikTok’s most-followed Korean stars after passing 20 million followers on the app.

The group – consisting of Jungkook, Jimin, V, Suga, RM, Jin, and J-Hope – are the most followed Korean stars while girl group BLACKPINK follow behind at 17.7 million.

Jungkook also recently broke the record for the most-followed hashtag on TikTok too, despite not having a solo account.

The band also shared an empowering message with fans about coming together to get through tough times at Korea’s Youth Day ceremony.

RM said: ‘We appreciate even more our fans and our members who have strongly united together during the moments we wanted to give up or fall behind and become towers of strength to each other over the past 10 years.’
