Manchester City are reportedly targeting a sensational swoop for Tottenham striker Harry Kane even if they land the transfer of Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish
Would Man City switch benefit Grealish?
The blue touch paper could be about to be lit for Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions have been uncharacteristically quiet in the early stages of this window, with Scott Carson the only permanent first-team signing.
But the Spanish boss will be determined to maintain the Citizens’ domestic dominance, while finally claiming the elusive Champions League trophy.
And at least one mega signing is expected that could propel the Blues to the next level ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Here, Mirror Football has rounded up all the latest Manchester City transfer news…
Bernardo Silva wants Spain move
City’s pursuit of Jack Grealish and Harry Kane means there is likely to be a high-profile exit should either move come off.
And Bernardo Silva could be one player sacrificed as Guardiola plans to evolve his side next season.
Silva has been said to be open from a move away from East Manchester for some time, despite his success at the Etihad.
The Portuguese attacker has returned to the City Football Academy after his holiday following the Euros.

Grealish sent Man City warning
Jack Grealish’s proposed transfer to the Etihad Stadium has been questioned by former midfielder Jermaine Jenas.
The 25-year-old would face stiff competition for a starting spot under Guardiola should he move from Aston Villa.
And Jenas believes his move could hinge on the manager’s plans with Grealish’s England team-mate Phil Foden.

“From Jack’s point of view, it all depends on what Guardiola’s plans are for Phil Foden,” Jenas told the Daily Star.
“Phil spent the whole of last year on that left-hand side for Manchester City, and was brilliant, and that’s where Jack plays.
He continued: “I find it hard to say he shouldn’t go, for Jack, I just don’t know if Man City is the place for him.”
City on verge of £20m midfielder sale
Manchester City midfielder Yangel Herrera could be on the verge of completing a move to Premier League rivals Leeds United.
The Venezuelan international has impressed during two seasons out on loan at La Liga side Granada.
Herrera has made his mark in four different loan spells since signing for City in 2017.
He hasn’t been able to make his way into Guardiola’s plans for the first-team, but he could be rewarded with a place in Marcelo Bielsa’s set-up at Elland Road.
El Gol Digital claim that ‘everything is in place’ for Herrera to complete a move to Leeds.
And the West Yorkshire club are reportedly willing to pay £20m for his services.
