Bayonetta and Berserk coming to Shin Megami Tensei mobile game

Shin Megami Tensei’s mobile RPG kicks off its second year with another Bayonetta collaboration and even has an upcoming one with Berserk.

Whilst more mainstream audiences are enjoying a second visit to the bizarre crossover title Tokyo Mirage Sessions, the more diehard Shin Megami Tensei fans have been keeping busy with mobile title Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2.

The gacha game has now entered its second year and Sega has already kicked off celebrations by including a collaboration with Platinum Game’s stylish, sexy witch Bayonetta, which coincides with the release of the Bayonetta and Vanquish 10th Anniversary bundle.

This is actually the second time Bayonetta and her red-clad rival Jeanne have been added to the game, so this is a good opportunity for those who joined late to add them to their collection.

The collaboration will run until 5 March and will also come with new quests and rewards.

This isn’t the only crossover Sega have planned, however. In its press release, it also confirmed that a future event will feature characters from the anime/manga franchise Berserk.

A dark fantasy story, Berserk chronicles the adventures of the swordsman/mercenary Guts as he battles all sorts of monsters and demons. It is quite violent and not recommended for the faint of heart.

The more recent anime adaptation is currently available to watch on Crunchy Roll, and a Dynasty Warriors-like title called Band Of The Hawk is on PlayStation 4 and PC, though that one is unlikely to please even diehard fans.

Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2 is available on iOS and Android.
