Messi still pushing for Neymar reunion
It’s not the first time we’ve heard this, but Calciomercato in Italy are reporting that Messi is pushing the board to bring Neymar back.
The Argentine is desperate to win the Champions League again before he calls time on his career and the Brazilian could help achieve that.
Alongside Luis Suarez, they formed one of the best attacking trio’s world football has ever seen, winning the 2015 competition in Berlin against Juventus.
Barcelona’s pursuit of Neymar is set to go to the wire.

Barcelona pessimistic over Neymar deal
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalans now believe that PSG won’t sell them Neymar.
The club have struggled to fund a move to bring the Brazilian home and it now looks increasingly difficult.
Neymar hasn’t played since injuring his foot against Qatar for Brazil in June.
He has been back in training with PSG.

Neymar absent for PSG again
Reports earlier this weekend claimed that Neymar would be reintegrated back into the PSG squad for the clash with Toulouse.
But according to AS, he has been left out again ahead of transfer speculation.
The report claims the relationship between the player and club is still damaged.
PSG are quietly optimistic that the Brazilian will stay beyond the deadline, but this looks as it will be dent in those hopes.

PSG want Zaha to replace Neymar
Paris Saint-Germain are plotting a £100million move for Wilfried Zaha, reports say.
The Ligue 1 side could turn to the Ivorian to replace Neymar according to The Mirror.
PSG are said to be ready to send delegates to London to open talks.
Zaha came close to leaving Crystal Palace this summer with Arsenal and Everton both launching bids.
The winger signed a five-year deal worth £130,000-a-week deal last year and the Eagles would have to wait until January before being able to bring in a replacement.

Sergio Ramos has suspiciously praised Neymar after his side drew 1-1 with Real Valladolid.
“Neymar is a top player, for me, one of the top three players in the world,” said Ramos.
Real Madrid continue to chase Neymar, who is more likely to join Barcelona.
Ramos also made it clear that he wants goalkeeper Keylor Navas to stay, amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
He added: “Keylor is a great friend, one of the top three keepers in the world. I think the competition [between him and Courtois] is good.”

Messi and Suarez want Neymar
Spanish based journalist Sid Lowe claims that a number of key players at Barcelona including Messi and Suarez want to bring Neymar back to the club and are pressing to make it happen.
“I listened to Julien yesterday and everything he said was correct [about PSG not wanting to allow a loan deal],” Lowe explained on ESPN FC.
“The problem is that anything can shift.
“Right now, Barcelona are in a very strange position.
“They would very much like to sign Neymar, they have a number of the dressing room, in particular Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, saying they would like to sign Neymar.
“And, I suspect the most important thing for them is that they don’t want Real Madrid having Neymar.
“The problem is that they don’t really have the means to do this.”

Barca keen on Bentancur
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Rodrigo Bentancur is on Barcelona’s radar and they could move for the midfielder before September 2.
He would cost Barca around £55m but the report adds Barca are in advanced discussions over a deal for the Uruguayan international.
The 22-year-old joined the club in 2017 but established himself in the first team under Massimiliano Allegri last term.
Competition for places in Maurizio Sarri’s new look squad is incredibly high though and Bentancur was an unused sub in the Serie A opener at Parma.
