ASHLEY YOUNG has issued a heartfelt message to Manchester United wonderkid Angel Gomes after making his transfer switch to Inter Milan.
The veteran full-back, 34, gave midfielder Gomes some advice after signing for the Italian giants.
Young is a huge fan of the 19-year-old Londoner but has told him he needs to keep his feet on the ground and stay level-headed.
Gomes sent a message to Young after the transfer worth an initial £1.5million.
It said: “Always gave your all for the team and for the lads thanks for everything Youngy will miss you around the place broski.”
The former Aston Villa and England player responded by writing: “Thanks Ang, always here for you bro if you need anything.
“Keep working hard my bro and massive future ahead of you. Keep your feet on the ground and level headed as you are.”
Gomes is in the last six months of his United contract but United will look for a fee for him as he is under 24.
The midfielder came on as a sub in United’s 4-0 win over Norwich this month.
Prior to that his last Prem appearance was in the 2-0 loss at West Ham on September 22.
But United have high hopes for him and hope he will sign a new long-term deal.
Gomes has played at every England international age group from Under-16 to U-20.
His representatives have reportedly told United chiefs they are unhappy with the new terms the club have offered to keep the player at Old Trafford.
Young penned his deal until the end of the season with an option for another year.
