It’s okay, Arsenal fans. Don’t worry!
We all know how much you’ve loved Lucas Torriera since he signed for the Gunners from Sampdoria in what now looks to be a bargain deal in the summer.
The Uruguayan’s tough-tackling approach has instantly made him a fans’ favourite at the Emirates Stadium, and after being slowly introduced into the team by Unai Emery he’s quickly become one of the first names in the manager’s XI.
And that isn’t going to be changing soon because of one picture, so you can stop fretting.
Torreira took to Instagram to thank his good friend and fellow Uruguay international Edinson Cavani for sending him a Paris Saint-Germain basketball shirt, which this season are made by the iconic Air Jordan brand.
PSG’s football team have also worn the special Jordan x PSG shirts in the Champions League, and we can only imagine the uproar if Torreira was seen in one of those.
But he wasn’t. It’s a basketball one. BASKETBALL!
And in case you were still worrying about Torreira’s commitment just read what he said before the international break.
“I am extremely proud to be at Arsenal and hopefully we can enjoy many things together.
“It’s a great challenge and a new challenge for me. I’m the kind of person who likes to fight for these things, to always be fighting my way up, like my dad always tells me. I am so happy.
“I’m getting to know London and taking on the challenge of learning English so I can communicate with my team-mates.
“That’s something that’s not only important for football but also for life. The important thing now is to continue growing and to continue showing this.”
There you go, panic over.
