Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham target Marcel Sabitzer from Red Bull Leipzig.
The 26-year-old is attracting plenty of attention from clubs across Europe, with Leipzig believed to price him at around £45million.
Sabitzer scored against Tottenham in last season’s Champions League, and they appear to be leading the race for the midfielder.
However, European football expert Julien Laurens told ESPN’s ‘The Gab & Juls Show’ that Arsenal are also “very keen” on landing his signature.
The Gunners have been linked with Sabitzer previously, and have made no secret of their desire to sign a more creative midfield player.
Sabitzer has scored three times in 16 appearances for Leipzig so far this season.
He still has 18 months remaining on his current contract, meaning he will likely be available for less than his asking price in the summer.
But the Bundesliga outfit are not keen on letting Sabitzer go in January, despite his interest in a switch to north London.
