Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta fires warning to Emile Smith Rowe ahead of Brighton clash

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has fired a warning to Emile Smith Rowe ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday. The midfielder scored his first league goal of the season as the Gunners defeated Tottenham on Sunday.

“There are things in his game that he must improve and develop,” Arteta said ahead of the trip to the south coast.

“He’s very good right now and he can get much better.”

Smith Rowe needed just 12 minutes to put Arsenal in front against Spurs last time out as Arteta’s men produced a scintilating first half performance at the Emirates Stadium.

The 21-year-old found himself in acres of space in the Tottenham box and was picked out by Bukayo Saka, before firing home.

He then turned provider 15 minutes later as he pulled the ball back for Pierre-Emerick Abameyang to lash home.
