GOOD EVENING FROM RIO DE JANEIRO
Welcome to our live coverage of the Copa America group stage match between Argentina and Chile at the Olympic Stadium.
This marks the first match of Group B where both competitors have also been drawn with Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay.
Albiceleste manager Lionel Scaloni is not dealing with any injury concerns after announcing a strong squad for this year’s Copa America in Brazil.
Scaloni, though, did make some notable omissions as he left out the likes of Sevilla star Lucas Ocampos and Aston Villa record signing Emi Buendia despite his incredible season with Norwich that saw him winning the Championship Player of the Year award.
The Argentina manager is definitely going to start Barcelona legend Lionel Messi but is more likely to partner him up with Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez rather than Manchester City record goalscorer Sergio Aguero, who just joined Barca.
Chile manager Martin Lasarte, on the other hand, has been handed a major boost as Inter star Arturo Vidal is available again after his recent bout with coronavirus.
However, Lasarte is going to be without Vidal’s Serie A team-mate, and former Manchester United as well as Arsenal star, Alexis Sanchez throughout the entire group stage as he suffered a foot injury during training
