ANTHEA Turner turned 60 today and joked her Botox is wearing off in lockdown – making her feel “old”.
The stunning presenter opened up on reaching the milestone as she dazzled Loose Women viewers dressed in pink and sporting glamorous hair and make-up.
Taking a moment to consider how she feels about entering her 60s, Anthea told viewers: “I feel a bit old actually, you know when people say ‘oh 50 is the new 40’ but no, 60 is 60.”
She added about her gorgeous look: “This is called lockdown locks, this is called haven’t been able to get to the hairdressers, also I’ve got no nails, and I haven’t been able to frown quite like this for a while.”
Anthea is engaged to new man Mark Armstrong and the couple were set to marry in Italy in Septemner, but they’ve been forced to postpone the wedding over coronavirus travel restrictions.
The star, who has been married twice before, remarked: “I’m so chilled about it because I might be old but I’m happy.
“It wasn’t like we had invited everybody and booked everything. We had every intention of getting married in Italy in September and it is going to be next year now.
“We haven’t even tried to make any plans, you might as well park it.”
Anthea has loved lockdown thanks to her new life with Mark.
She told viewers: “Something I have never done is savour, savour the moment. It is 60, I’ve got more air miles behind me than in front of me. You’ve been talking about health and weight, I’ve never valued health so much and savouring the moment.
“All those years doing all those television programmes, I don’t think I ever savoured any of it because I was always worried and worried if I was in the right place.”
The star also opened up about still being a stepmum to her ex Grant Bovey’s three daughters Claudia, Amelia and Lily.
The couple divorced in 2015 on the grounds of Grant’s infidelity and Anthea previously revealed Grant told her he may not have cheated if she had bore him a child.
But she has continued to support his three kids and advised viewers on how to manage the tricky task of being a stepmum.
She said: “Lily lived with me ip until a couple of years ago, but what’s really important is that you carve your own path with your step children. In some ways I was very lucky because they were very young (when I married Grant).
“It’s a lot more different if you’re dealing with teenagers and if one of the parents is putting up barriers.
“Everyone has to think of the children, you’re not trying to be their mother. All you have to do really is be nice, get on with them, you’re not there to be aggravating, just get on with them and they come with you.”
Anthea and Mark announced their engagement last year, after just five months of dating.
The former Blue Peter host split from her cheating ex-husband Grant seven years ago.
And now, she admits she couldn’t be happier with new man Mark.
Anthea added: “Mark is the absolute love of my life, we adore each other.
“He makes me smile every day and we are excited about our life together. Sometimes, when you are a bit older and you have lived, something tells you this is so right, you just know.
“People might say why do you have to get married, or why would you want to. It is because I do believe in marriage, and I can’t think of a nicer person to be with for the rest of my life.
“I’ve always said I would get married again, I knew I would meet someone, that I would not be on my own. I definitely never put up the shutters to finding love again, with ‘keep away’ tattooed on my forehead.”
Anthea previously announced her engagement to the tycoon on Scala Radio.
