‘It’s been a long time coming’: Adele is ‘set to make a festive comeback with her long-awaited fourth album and a televised concert from Las Vegas’

Adele is reportedly set to make a showstopping comeback in time for Christmas, complete with her much-anticipated fourth album and a televised Las Vegas concert.

The alleged spectacular will mark the 33-year-old’s first live performance in over four years, following her record-breaking stadium tour which concluded in 2017.

A source told The Sunday Mirror: ‘It’s been a long time coming but her label wants it released before Christmas and have their sights set on a performance in Vegas.

‘Adele and her management have been in talks with BBC America about broadcasting it around the world. This will be one of few performances as part of her promotional tour,’ the source added.

‘Obviously with ongoing Covid dramas and concern for safety it could affect recording, but this is the date scheduled right now.’

In a bid to top her last LP 25, which sold a whopping 23 million copies since its 2015 release, the Grammy winner’s latest project was due to be dropped last year but was delayed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Along with a major marketing campaign, her record label Sony is thought to be penciling in a November release for the collection of tracks which will see the icon reflect on her divorce from husband Simon Konecki.

Throwing fuel onto the fire, Ed Sheeran recently blurted out that he believed the Hello hitmaker was aiming for a festive comeback.

In a recent interview he said: ‘I think Adele’s coming back before Christmas. I’ve heard rumours.’

Adele is now in a relationship with multi-millionaire sports agent Rich Paul. In September, a friend of the couple stated that their romance is ‘getting more serious’.

The insider told People: ‘They went to LeBron James’ party together. He often brings her around his friends. She seems to be getting along with everyone. They act like they are getting more serious.’

‘She is having fun dating Rich. They spend a lot of time together. Adele seems very happy.’

The couple confirmed their romance last month after being spotted on a dinner date, after going public in July when they sat court side at game five of the NBA Finals in Phoenix, Arizona.

Rich is a sports agent to several high-profile basketball stars including LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons and John Wall.

He is worth an estimated $46 million and has negotiated more than $1 billion in active deals for his high-profile clients during his career.

In 2020, he made Forbes’ list of the world’s top 10 most powerful sports agents, hitting No. 9 on the list. He was classed No. 2 globally in basketball. He was also featured on the 2020 Ebony Power 100 List.

He is the founder of Klutch Sports, part of United Talent Agency (UTA), which leapt up 23 places on the list of the world’s most valuable sports agencies within a five year period, following Paul’s involvement. Paul now leads UTA’s sports division.

Adele finalized her divorce from ex Simon in March and the pair share custody of son Angelo, eight.

Representatives for Adele and BBC America have been contacted for comment.
