Abductors demand N30m ransom for husband of slain pregnant woman

Suspected gunmen who killed a pregnant woman in Kwara state have demanded N30 million ransom for her abducted husband.

The gunmen shot the pregnant woman dead and kidnapped the husband last Saturday in Offa, Offa local government area.

A family confirmed the development on Monday, saying they have been able to raise N2 million

The source said: “They have asked the family to pay N30 million ransom before we could secure his release. But we have been only able to raise N2 million which they rejected.

“We have already lost a pregnant mother, Hawa who was hit by their stray bullet when the abductors were shooting randomly during the operation.”

Lukman Ibrahim, a phone and accessories dealer in Owode market, Offa was kidnapped along Ojoku road less than two- minute drive to the Divisional Police Headquarters.

He was driving his father-in-law, the late pregnant wife and one of their children home when the gunmen attacked them.
