Abby Lee Miller tearfully tells Dr Oz that she asked her friends why they didn’t just let her die when she was battling cancer: ‘It’s horrible’
She made a name for herself as a hot-tempered dance instructor on a hit reality TV series before being confronted with both serious health and legal troubles.
Now Abby Lee Miller of the show Dance Moms will be discussing it all during an appearance on the Dr Oz Show, which will air on Monday.
In a preview of the episode, the star is seen crying as she admits at one point during her cancer battle she wanted to end it all. ‘It’s horrible. It’s awful. I said to my friends many times… “Why didn’t you let me die?”‘ she told the doctor.

Dr Oz asked Miller, ‘So how does it change your life to be in this wheelchair knowing that you should have died that day?’
The star responded: ‘It’s horrible. It’s awful. I said to my friends many times, I have to save my tears to the pillow, many times, “why didn’t you let me die? Just, why did you save it, do it? Let me go.””
She added, ‘I don’t have children. I don’t have a husband. My parents are deceased. I’m done. I came here to teach dance.’
The 53-year-old reality TV star still uses a wheelchair after being diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, in April 2018 and enduring both spinal surgery and a knee replacement.
During the show, she talked about her continued efforts to recuperate since becoming cancer-free, and her Instagram is filled with snippets showing her ongoing journey with learning to walk again during physical therapy sessions at the Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare in Pomona, California.

The star also discussed how her legal troubles with tax evasion and bankruptcy fraud — which led her to be indicted by the federal government and serve jail time in 2017 and 2018 — has caused former students to ‘forget’ who she is.
‘They needed to “distance themselves” from me,’ Miller said of some of her famous former student, including Sia sensation Maddie Ziegler.
‘That was the word that was used, distance themselves, when I was indicted by the Federal Government,’ Abby Lee continued.
Miller also specified that Ziegler is ‘absolutely’ one of her former students that has severed ties with her.

One star, however, is still proud of her association with the famously fiery Dance Moms instructor — tween sensation Jojo Siwa.
‘I’m so proud,’ she said of Siwa. ‘JoJo stays in touch with me. I think everybody else forgot my name.’
Miller returned to her celebrated Lifetime series Dance Moms last year for its eight season, which concluded in September, and she plans to be on the reunion special as well.
