Two stalwarts of British fashion, Burberry and Vivienne Westwood, are
joining forces on a new collaborative collection.
Burberry’s newly appointed artistic director Riccardo Tisci announced the
collaboration on his Instagram: “Vivienne was one of the first designers
who made me dream to become a designer…I am SO honoured to announce a new
Burbs collaboration with the original British PUNK” alongside an image of
Tisci, Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler.
While no further statement has been made about the collection or when it
will be available in store, we can hope there will be tartan, some safety
pins, a trench coat, a plethora of deconstructed checks and punk boots.
Tisci is due to unveil his first collection for Burberry this September,
with a mixed men’s and women’s wear show during London Fashion Week.
