A League of Their Own cast snapped in Inverness pub after filming in Highlands

The cast of A League of Their Own have been spotted filming in and around the Highlands over the weekend.

Romesh Ranganathan, Jamie Redknapp, Jack Whitehall and Freddie Flintoff were snapped during a shoot at the Ardverikie Estate near Loch Laggan.

The group then headed to The Caledonian in the heart of Inverness to swing by for a natter with the locals.

Staff at the boozer shared a picture of Romesh, Jack and Freddie as they posed with punters last night.

The group were spotted filming in the Highlands for the latest series of the hit Sky TV show

A post on The Caledonian’s Facebook read: “Our beer garden had some guests last night who are in a league of their own.”

Stunned locals flocked to the pub’s social media page, many of which expressed their disbelief at missing their chance to meet the cast of the hit Sky TV show.

One person wrote: “Shut the front door.”

Another said: “How did I not know my future husband Jack Whitehall was in Inverness?”

Some locals commented on the lack of mask wearing in the picture – which forced the pub to put another post out to reassure those with safety fears.

They wrote: “Here’s the guys from A League of Their Own earlier on in the day filming.

“Compliance requires they were all pre-tested before filming so rest assured folks, our staff and customers were safe at all times.

“We appreciate your concern but the guys commented on how safe they felt in the best kept secret beer garden in Inverness.”

It is understood that the group took to Scotland to film A League of Their Own’s latest road trip spin off series. The group have previously taken to America and Europe.

But with the coronavirus pandemic causing travel chaos across the globe, it’s likely that they will be doing things a bit more locally than normal.
